How is mycoprotein made?

Mycoprotein is a biomass of fungal mycelium grown in fermenters - much like beer and yiest. Mycoprotein production can be based various carb-rich feedstocks, such as sugar and starch. The resulting biomass can be mixed with other ingredients for purely plant-based and hybrid protein products.
